Those are some sexy effects. Hi-Five from Australia!
  • Ha. I think we just played L4D2 together :) Thanks brutha! highfive!
  • weldar
Have a second high five from Australia. Seriously you're awesome.
  • cornh
Wo Hai So you are the man!

I remember that when i saw the series finale one of the things i just could not stop thinking was "What an awesome VFX must they had!!" now you should know but you were a really big part of all TWBB stuff so i have to say i admire your professionalism.

Sorry the typos and gramatical errors.
  • DarkFalco
good job with what you did on those effects. you really gave the series life. one of my favorite scenes had to be the near fight between ganondorf and captain falcon. well done!
  • Thank you! Glad you appreciate it and took the time to write ;)

I know that scene is pretty dope. Are you the guy that made the animated gif of it? I know someone on the forum has that as his sig.
  • lonewolf
cool effects and all, but i thought the vid was going to be the process of making the visual effects. huge fan of the series though.
  • I hear you. I actually wish I would have screen captured me doing the effects so I could do a time lapse so every could see what goes into do the shows fx. Also of course it would have been cool to have a ton of behind the scenes footage on set so people can really see whats going on.

I think the next project I do I will make sure to document these things more cause that's always my favorite part of DVD's are the behind the scenes features on fx and what not.

And thanks! Glad I could contribute to this project. It was fun.
  • morphor
Yea, thats the favorite part of DVD's for myself as well, like everyone else said great job/didn't realize.
  • lukelaneakamagnusxavier
Hey Xtian. I'm a huge fan of the series and I've seen a few of your posts on the forum. In all honesty I'd taken the VFX totally for granted until I saw this (on Paul Duraso's FB wall) and I have to say that you have done such an amazing job. I didn't quite realise the amount of VFX was there. You are a truly awesome artist and I really hope to see more of your work around.

    Luke
  • Well thank you very much Luke!

Yah there really were quite a few fx in the show! Especially in episode 10. I think I had to do almost 50 shots in roughly a weeks time. WOW was that insane. Many sleepless nights! haha - But that's the only way you get better, with repetition :)

Glad you like my art and if you're interested in keeping up with what I'm doing just keep this page bookmarked as it is the hub for all the things I work on. Feel free to friend me up too.
  • jetsudo
I really enjoy your work, good job! Have you worked on any other web-series before or is this your first?

Also, the soundtracks used in this video, the 28 Weeks later theme I recognized, though the second one, I know it, but cannot put my finger on it and now I'm all frustrated trying to think lol. What is it? <=(
  • Awesome. Thank you Jetsudo. Yes I've worked on other web shorts before, mainly something called "how to be: emo" which you can actually find on this site.

This really is the first project where I was solely responsible for the visual effects and thats it, which was a really cool opportunity for me. It's not every day you get projects where you can do effects for remixes of classic games you loved growing up.

Yes that first song is 28 Weeks later, love that soundtrack. And the last song is from the movie Aliens. Probably the most classic action/sci-fi film soundtrack around!!!
  • jetsudo
Oh as soon as you said Aliens, -_-* My bad. But yeah, I think you have done well, keep it up! May hear from me in a few months time? who Knows hahaha! XD
  • Yes, I did the VFX for it from Episode 7 to 10(the final one) - Which is what is included in this. Glad you took a look at the reel :)
  • I've been wanting to watch this for a while now. Looks like I'll be getting into it this weekend. You do the special effects for it?
